Interim Report
Four Months of Listening and Learning
The first phase of the Maths Horizons Project has been an exciting period of engagement and discovery. This Interim Report reflects on some of what we have learned so far.
We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to meet with key stakeholder groups through dozens of individual and group discussions. We have also gathered insights from a wide range of contributors:
-
Over 1,000 responses through the Maths Horizons website
-
More than 10,000 contributions from pupils, parents, employers, and employees via Public First
-
Over 31,000 responses from teachers via Teacher Tapp
At the heart of our work is a fundamental set of questions: if England had a truly world-class maths education system, what would it look like; what could young people achieve by 18, and what would it take to get us there?
Between now and April, when we publish our Final Report, we will continue our journey of listening and learning.
You can explore our initial findings in the Interim Report.
